I had a short stay at Gilbey's in Eton, just across the Thames from Windsor. The room above the restaurant-bar was great, with a comfortable bed, refreshing shower, and a TV. The lunch I had at Gilbey's was better than any meal I had in France during my two-week trip. The fishcake and salmon tartar for starter, followed by pork belly as the main dish, were absolutely delicious. The location was perfect, within walking distance of Windsor Castle, and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Location: the hotel was so close to nice restaurant & bar, the town itself and Eton/Windsor. Café mamma mia cafe was 300 metres away from the place. The breakfast had a good choice of selection, the food was delicious!
